Transformational Breathwork
What is Transformational Breathwork?
Transformational breathwork is specific breathwork therapy devised by Dr Judith Kravitz in the 1970s. It involves a practice of conscious connected breathing, body mapping, positive affirmation and toning (making sounds). It is said to work on three levels: the physical, mental-emotional, and the spiritual:
On the physical level, deep diaphragmatic breathing allows oxygen to reach our cells and organs, increasing our energy and helping to detoxify and cleanse our bodies.
On the mental-emotional level, it helps reduce stress and promote feelings of calm and peace.
On the spiritual level, full, conscious connected breathing can help us connect with our higher selves and tap into our innate wisdom.
The beauty of Transformational Breath® is that it works on all three levels of the human being, allowing us to integrate trauma holistically and live our best lives. We can let go of what no longer serves us and open ourselves up to new possibilities by breathing consciously.
